Finweek Kuala Lumpur 2026 is not a debut. It's the next chapter of a story that began in the heart of Europe almost a decade ago.

It started in 2016 as a small fintech summit in Bratislava — a room of bankers, regulators and founders asking the same question the industry still asks today: how do we build the financial system of the future, together? That room kept growing. The summit became Finweek, and Finweek became the largest gathering of fintech ecosystems in Central and Eastern Europe — the place where the digital euro, MiCA, blockchain, AI and cross-border payments moved from panel debates to real policy and real partnerships. Along the way it gave rise to Fintech Valley Europe, a CEE-wide initiative connecting markets from the V4 to the edges of the region.

Ten editions later, the same DNA arrives in Asia. Finweek Kuala Lumpur 2026 carries forward what was built in Europe — the people, the institutional trust, the track record — and points it at the next frontier: the EU–ASEAN corridor. Same mission, bigger stage.
